Greetings Humans

There has been a lot to be happy about in the Okada house recently. Most importantly, Brett has found his forever home. Richelle is glad that Tonraq is a lot more relaxed but Ken misses having Brett purring on his lap. Brett is looking forward to training his new human to be a high-quality servant.

291 is the one in the middle

More good news. I have heard it is official that the new cat adoption café premises will be at 291 Jackson St. Ken and Richelle have been busily notifying everyone about the location. They hope they have not missed anyone. Their next step is get approval from the Hutt City Council authorities. I am sure they will. After all, I trained them well, didn’t I?

Richelle and Ken are a bit shy to ask for it, but they need your help. They will be starting a crowdfunding campaign soon and they need your advice to make it work well.

You can send them messages through their webpage: www.nekongeru.nz, via Facebook or by email at mastercat@nekongeru.nz. They would like to know if you have any questions, if you have any doubts or concerns, and/or which rewards would be appropriate for the different donation levels ($20, $50, $100, $500 etc.)

They are thinking of offering passes and drinks and branded merchandise like T-shirts and mugs—typical things. But, they wonder if you think people would be interested in things like ‘new cat starter packs’ at different levels of luxury. (I have told them that other humans need training to be good cat servants and every little bit helps.)

Do you have any other ideas for rewards?

If you have some experience with crowdfunding, they would love to hear from you so you can share your knowledge.

Outpawed is having its funding drive right now. You may see their collectors around Wellington and surrounding towns.  Sunday, Richelle and Ken are going with some of the Cat Lovers’ Meetup group members to a quiz night at the Co-Op Kitchen and Bar in Whitby from 7-9:30pm. You can still join by going to the Outpawed events Facebook page. Bring your donations or send them directly to Outpawed.
