Greetings Humans!

So much happened in 2017. Most importantly, we opened the cafe at 291 Jackson St. Richelle and Ken took a lot of pictures while it was getting ready and I would like to share some of them with you.

Many volunteers helped us to paint the walls but Ken and Richelle forgot to take many pictures then because they were so busy and covered in paint. I stayed home since my help was not wanted. Some lovely artists painted murals on the walls in the human toilets and the front of the bench.

We had a ‘soft opening’ week and then a party. Miraculously, we were able to open on the day we said we would. Even though Ken and Richelle were really nervous that we would not get the building consent, it was given just before opening. Everyone was so pleased.

Now we have been open for almost two months and Ken and Richelle have learned many things about running a small business. We have had many people come to see us and lots of them have come back more than once already. We really love seeing everyone.

Most of our adoptable cats are already spoken for but their new families are waiting for us to return the cats we borrowed from Outpawed before we send them to their forever homes.

We get new cats weekly though, so there is always a good chance you will meet a cat that will love to be petted by you.

I don’t always like going to work myself. So, Ken and Richelle let me stay home sometimes to have a break. When I do come, I have to boss the other cats around, which is so stressful. I do look forward to seeing you though and, if you are lucky, I may play with you or let you pet me.
