Cat Assisted Yoga is continuing on Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons fortnightly. Please check our events page on Facebook or bookings link to see when the next classes are. The cats assist at their own pleasure so we cannot guarantee what they will do but they usually run about and sometimes interact with people during the yoga class. Afterwards, we always have time for a hot drink and play with the cats. In the opened space, there is lots of room to run and jump so the play can be really spectacular as the cats show off their moves. Booking and payment in advance is required so our teacher can have the assurance she will be paid for her time and travel.
Cat Assisted Massage is continuing on Fridays from 12-4 every other week. Book ahead through our on-line system or call (or just turn up if you are feeling lucky). Our expert masseuse from Lapis Healing Room brings in a massage chair and uses their skills to help ease tired and sore muscles. The cats help you relax just by being there.
Cat Lovers’ Meetup Dinner Series is a new thing we are doing for fun. Members of our Meetup group gather Thursdays after yoga to enjoy restaurants of Jackson Street, Lower Hutt or Wellington. Space is limited to six people so it is essential to RSVP thoughtfully and let us know early if your plans change. (Attendance to the yoga class is not required but joining the Meetup group is. Here is the link to join: https://www.meetup.com/ If you are already a member then look for Wellington Cat Lovers’ Meetup
Cat Quiz Night is a brand new thing that we are doing the fourth Wednesday of every month. The next one is the 27th of February from 6:30-8:00pm. Four teams of maximum four people each show off their general and cat-specific knowledge. Aside from the pleasure of proving your intelligence, you can get great Neko Ngeru merchandise as a prize. A free hot drink and half-hour of cat play are included in the entry fee of $25 per person. Booking must be made in advance, so get your team together or offer yourself as a valuable member of a smaller team.
